Your tasks & responsibilities?
Are you a technical drafter who enjoys creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings? Do you like working accurately with CAD software in an industrial environment? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you.
As a Technical Drafter – Plant Engineering, you will support our internal engineering teams in the development of industrial installations within a 3D environment. Your primary focus will be on modelling, developing, and managing technical drawings and 3D models based on input from internal stakeholders.
You will translate concepts, P&IDs, and technical specifications into manufacturable, safe, and efficient designs, while ensuring seamless coordination with other departments within DESOTEC.

Your responsibilities
- Develop and model plant layouts, piping systems, and steel structures in 3D
- Create detailed drawings and assembly drawings
- Integrate 3D scan data (point clouds) into your designs
- Review designs for fit, feasibility, and potential clashes using Navisworks
- Collaborate closely with project engineers and other departments
- Contribute to design optimization and safety improvements
- Manage Vault Professional (structure, revisions, workflows)
- Ensure accurate and consistent storage of drawings and models
- Support colleagues as a key user of Vault
- Contribute to the further optimization of CAD and data management standards
- Create and maintain P&IDs and PFD's
Who are you?
- You have a degree in electromechanics, mechanical design, or equivalent experience
- You have experience with 3D CAD in an industrial environment
- You have experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Vault Professional
- Having experience with Autodesk Inventor and Navisworks is a strong asset
- Having experience with 3D scans / point clouds (ReCap) is a strong asset
- You have a good technical understanding of mechanical constructions and plant layout
- You work accurately and in a structured manner
- You think in a solution-oriented and practical way
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
- You communicate smoothly within a project team
- You take responsibility and have an eye for quality
- You feel comfortable in a supporting role within an engineering environment
