Tax & Compliance Manager

As Tax & Compliance Manager, you are the go-to expert responsible for ensuring that DESOTEC remains fiscally strong and fully compliant. You maintain a clear overview of our tax obligations across Europe, identify risks before they become issues, and provide proactive advice to finance teams, management, and local entities. At the same time, you continuously look for ways to make our processes smarter, more efficient, and future-proof.

• You oversee tax compliance across Europe, ensuring that all obligations and deadlines are met accurately and on time.
• You are responsible for tax accounting and reporting, including tax provisions and statutory tax reporting.
• You manage transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, ensuring they are tax compliant and properly documented.
• You coordinate tax audits and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external tax advisors.
• You identify tax risks, assess their potential impact, and implement appropriate actions to mitigate and manage them.
• You take the initiative to optimize and further standardize tax processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• You serve as the first point of contact for tax-related questions and act as a key sparring partner for finance teams, management, and local entities across Europe.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex tax matters. You know the rules, but more importantly, you think proactively about how to apply them effectively and how to minimize tax risks for DESOTEC. You enjoy diving into the details while keeping the bigger picture in mind. Equally important, you are a true business partner who can easily interact with finance teams, management, colleagues across different countries, and external advisors.

• You hold a master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field, and have already built solid experience in tax and/or compliance.
• You are familiar with international taxation, tax accounting, transfer pricing, and VAT, and you are eager to further develop your expertise in these areas.
• You are analytical and critical, but above all pragmatic: you identify risks, think in solutions, and can clearly explain complex matters to different audiences.
• You are highly organized and structured, ensuring that tax obligations, reporting requirements, and deadlines are managed accurately and on time.
• You take ownership and actively seek opportunities to make processes and controls smarter, more efficient, and more standardized.
• You communicate fluently in both Dutch and English and feel at ease working in an international environment with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Experience with tax audits, tax authorities, or external tax advisors is a plus. Experience in optimizing tax processes and internal controls is equally valued.
