Your tasks & responsibilities?

What are your tasks & responsibilities?

As a Project Engineer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues on a wide range of technical projects that contribute to a more sustainable industry. You will combine engineering and project work with a hands-on approach, while having the opportunity to help shape technical solutions from design through to implementation.

  • Design & Engineering: You design and optimize electromechanical systems and processes, with a focus on safety, functionality, sustainability and energy efficiency. You will work with tools such as Inventor, EPLAN, AutoCAD, Siemens Step 7 and MS Project.

  • Technical Documentation: You contribute to the preparation of functional specifications, P&IDs, CE files, technical manuals and safety analyses, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date.

  • Testing & Commissioning: You support the testing, validation and commissioning of new installations and help ensure a smooth transition from design to implementation.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: You work closely with colleagues from R&D, Production, QESH and Purchasing to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Communication & Coordination: You act as the link between design and implementation, maintaining clear communication with colleagues, suppliers and other external partners.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: You keep up to date with new technologies and technical developments and translate relevant innovations into concrete improvements within our projects and installations.

  • Safety: You contribute to a safe and well-organized working environment and take safety requirements into account throughout the design, implementation and commissioning of installations.

Who are you?

We are looking for a technically driven colleague who enjoys taking responsibility and feels comfortable working in a project environment. You combine an analytical and structured approach with a practical, hands-on mindset.

  • You have a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering or Bioscience Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or Electrical Engineering. A background in electromechanics is a strong asset.

  • You have a strong interest in technology, electromechanics and automation, and preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • You work in a structured, accurate and punctual manner, with a strong focus on quality, safety and deadlines.

  • You are eager to learn, take initiative and actively contribute to developing technical solutions and improvements.

  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.

  • Experience with Inventor, EPLAN, AutoCAD and Siemens Step 7 is an advantage. Haven’t worked with all of these tools yet? That’s fine — you are willing and motivated to learn them quickly.

What does your team look like?

As a Project Engineer, you will join a team of four Project Engineers and one Technical Draftsman. Together, you will work on a wide range of technical projects, from design and engineering through to testing and commissioning.

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work closely with colleagues from R&D, Production, QESH and Purchasing, among other departments.
